Enterprise Private Runners
Why and who is it for?
By default, Magic Inspector runs tests from our shared pools of runners. Although these runners are fully isolated from each other and have fixed IP addresses, they're not suitable if you need to test applications running in your private cloud infrastructure that is not accessible from the public internet.
Private Infrastructure Overview
In a nutshell:
- Each Enterprise customer gets a dedicated runner pool running into a private and dedicated VPC.
- Runners are fully isolated from each other.
- You can control the number of runners you need in your VPC.
- Runners have fixed IP addresses that you can allowlist in your firewall settings.
- If your infrastructure is not accessible from the public internet, we will deploy a site-to-site VPN connection between your VPC and our private runners VPC.
- Unlike shared pools, it's 100% safe to allowlist the IP addresses of private runners in your firewall settings but you can still use proxies if you need to.
