Our Shared Infrastructure
All Magic Inspector customers (except Enterprise customers) use a shared infrastructure based on their plan type.
Shared Infrastructure Overview
In a nutshell:
- We have multiple runner pools, per plan type:
- Free users use the
freerunner pool. - Pro users use the
prorunner pool. - Elite users use the
eliterunner pool.
- Free users use the
- Runners are fully isolated from each other but shared across customers.
- Runners have fixed IP addresses that you can allowlist in your firewall settings.
Runner IP addresses
We provide the IP addresses of our test runners. All Magic Inspector tests will come from these IP addresses listed below.
You can use these IP addresses to allowlist them in your firewall settings or to ignore them in your analytics software.
These IP addresses are fixed and not expected to change. If a change is needed, we will notify you via email ahead of time.
The following IP addresses are used for running tests:
Region: Council Bluffs, Iowa, North America
- 34.44.16.58
- 34.28.2.78
- 35.238.13.133
Security Considerations
Although runners are fully isolated from each other, they are shared across customers. If you allowlist IP addresses of a shared pool of runners, other customers will also be able to write a test against your infrastructure.
If you're looking for a solution that can access a private cloud infrastructure you have two options:
- Configure a proxy access using a test or a suite settings.
- Use our Enterprise Private Runners solution.
